TEXTURE CHANGES

Pregnancy hormones slow down the rate of hair loss.  That is why a lot of pregnant women often find that their hair is thicker than usual.  Hair may also become dry, limp, curly or may even frizz out of control.  Hair can also become greasier due to a hormone called sebum.

Try using a different shampoo while you are pregnant and just be careful not to use chemicals on your hair that could be absorbed differently by your body because you are pregnant.

EXTRA FACIAL / BODY HAIR

Depending on the individuals’ body response to pregnancy hormones, you could notice more hairs on the body and face, and they are possibly darker than normal.  Some women actually find they have less body hair.

Only consult your doctor if the extra hair growth is excessive.  Do not try to bleach dark hair as the chemicals could be absorbed by your body.
